So as a type 1 diabetic, I constantly have people tell me these phrases whenever I tell them about my diagnosis.
"No, you can't eat sugar,
"If you don't wear a pump, then you're a type 2 diabetic,
"You're not skinny enough to be a type 1 diabetic."But guess what, these are all a bunch of empty guesses and assumptions.

Myth 1.) Sugar will kill you (myth)

WELL since you asked...
When our blood sugars go low, we need juice or anything with at least 15-30 carbs (ahem, sugar!!) to save ourselves from going into a diabetic coma.
Myth 2.) All Type 1 Diabetics Wear Pumps (myth)

That's right. We just need insulin to survive. Whether it's through an insulin vial, an insulin pump, or an insulin pump. Without insulin, I'd be on my last days and yeah, my blog would have no owner...

Myth 3.) All Type 1 Diabetics Are Thin (I shouldn't have to address this one but I'm doing it anyways)

Yeah, I kind of have to because it's a common question people that are "curvy" are asked and don't fit into that "fit and sticks and bone category".
So, this I don't need evidence for it because I am the evidence!

So that's it! Hope you guys liked the cartoons! Credits go to Ai cartoon machine:)
